Job Description:
A reputed company in Qatar is looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in designing HVAC, smoke management, chilled water, and firefighting systems. The candidate must be proficient in relevant design software tools including AutoCAD, Elite, and HAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design HVAC systems, including smoke management and chilled water systems for commercial and industrial projects

  • Develop fire fighting system designs in compliance with local codes and standards

  • Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD

  • Conduct heat load calculations and system sizing using HAP and Elite

  • Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, civil, etc.) to ensure integrated project design

  • Ensure all designs meet regulatory and safety standards

  • Assist in site inspections and technical reviews as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • 5 to 7 years of proven experience in mechanical design (HVAC, firefighting, chilled water, smoke management)

Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Elite, and HAP software

  • Strong understanding of mechanical design standards and building codes

  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
