Job Description:

Arabtech Trading is looking for a Food Safety Officer with deep knowledge of food safety protocols related to fresh and frozen food imports. The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in Qatar and be well-versed in local regulations, compliance procedures, and food inspection practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with Qatari food safety laws and international standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.).

  • Conduct regular inspections of food shipments and storage conditions.

  • Coordinate with government authorities for documentation and approvals.

  • Prepare and maintain food safety reports and audit documentation.

  • Provide food safety training to relevant staff.

  • Lead incident investigations and corrective actions when food safety violations occur.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field.

  • Certified in HACCP and/or ISO 22000 (preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Qatar in a similar role, preferably in food import and distribution.

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of local and international food safety regulations.

  • Inspection and auditing capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.

  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).

  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
