MEP Quantity Surveyor cum Estimation Engineer

Job Description:

A reputed company in Qatar is seeking a highly skilled MEP Quantity Surveyor cum Estimation Engineer to support the tendering process and quantity take-offs for construction and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of MEP systems and strong estimation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and estimates for MEP works.

  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and requirements for tenders.

  • Prepare cost plans, BOQs, and pricing for tenders and bids.

  • Assist in procurement and subcontractor evaluation.

  • Coordinate with project teams to align estimates with execution plans.

  • Review and compare supplier/contractor quotations and prepare costing sheets.

  • Liaise with clients and consultants regarding project pricing and variations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • UPDA B or C Grade Certification is mandatory.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in tendering and estimation for construction and fit-out projects in the GCC.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Estimation Software.

  • Deep knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
